Before signing a document online
Only sign or stamp documents when you are authorized to do so. A pasted image is not the same as a regulated digital certificate, qualified electronic signature, notarization, or identity verification. Requirements differ by country and document type, so confirm the rules for contracts, government forms, financial records, and other high-risk documents.
Privacy and storage
Normal editing happens in your browser. Cross-device signature drawings are encrypted and expire automatically. Reusable signatures are not stored. If you deliberately create a signing request, the source document and completed flattened PDF are stored privately for the account owner so the signer can review and submit them; the private request expires after seven days.
