You do not need a transparent PNG to start. Cert Generate can blend dark ink from a signature or stamp photographed on white paper into the certificate. A clean, evenly lit photograph gives the best result.
1. Photograph the signature or stamp clearly
- Use plain white paper with no lines or texture.
- Place the paper near a window or under even light to avoid gray shadows.
- Hold the camera directly above the paper so the signature is not stretched.
- Crop closely around the ink before uploading.
2. Upload it as an element
Open the certificate generator, upload your certificate background and recipient names, then continue to customization. Add the signature, logo, seal, or stamp as an image element. Drag it into place and resize it using the on-screen controls.
3. Choose the right background treatment
| Option | Use it when | Expected result |
|---|---|---|
| Multiply blend | Ink is dark and the paper is mostly white | White becomes visually transparent while dark ink remains |
| Remove white background | The background is clean, bright white | White pixels are removed more directly |
| Normal | The image already has transparency | Original colors and transparency are preserved |
4. Check the exported certificate
Zoom into one downloaded certificate before generating or distributing the full batch. Check the signature edges, placement, and contrast. If the paper still appears gray, retake the photograph with more even lighting or clean it in an image editor before uploading.
Common problems
- A gray rectangle remains: the paper was underexposed or shadowed. Retake the image on brighter white paper.
- The signature looks faint: use darker ink, increase contrast before uploading, or switch from Multiply to Normal for a transparent PNG.
- The stamp color changes: Multiply affects light areas and can darken color. Use a transparent PNG in Normal mode when exact color matters.
- The image looks blurry: avoid screenshots and messaging-app compression; upload the original photograph or scan.
